Funding
We help you secure funding for your project, the hard-to-find, bricks and mortar funds in addition to funds for master plans, historic resource reports, and more.
Strategic Resource Funding Package
We put together a strategic resource funding package with a prioritized approach, customized to the location and type of project. The funding that we have helped clients secure range from $5,000-$10,000 grants to large scale, community development grants like the $400,000 upper-level housing grant from HUD awarded to Xenia, Ohio, in 2016.
Don’t have time, resources, or expertise to pursue grants? We provide full-service grant writing, tailored to your needs (which we establish together in the preliminary planning phase). We can shepherd the grant application from pre-application correspondence through submission.
Just need technical data? We can provide the meat and potatoes technical content for the grant application including the budget and budget narrative, scope of work, or just strategic facts and figures to help you craft a robust, winning application.

Management
We use unit pricing and allowances in our bidding process to quantify items as best we can. It sets up a framework for unforeseen conditions, which as you probably well know are not uncommon with historic buildings. So we have a framework, we do our due diligence, we bring in specialty contractors up front, and then we using allowances and unit pricing, do the best we can to craft an accurate cost while allowing for adjustments as required.
We monitor all work diligently during construction and verify that the contractors are doing what they have quoted us to do. If more repair or work is required than originally thought, we can know as soon as possible and account for the increases that might be needed.
