Our Purpose
Bringing the best of the Past into the Future.
We take an architectural resource, find a new use for it, revitalize it for future use, while maintaining and preserving the building’s architectural authenticity, character and spirit of the property.
We are a group of architects whose lifelong commitment and purpose and has to been to restore, revitalize, preserve and protect architectural assets.
There are dedicated and talented professionals and tradespersons we partner with to round out every aspect of architectural reconstruction and restoration. We have built relationships with our partners over the course of many projects and years. This allows us to handpick who we bring into a project based upon their expertise and skill-sets to provide innovative and appropriate professional services for your project.
Our Skills
Our team manages everything, from an idea and concept development to realization. We believe in traditions and incorporate them within our innovations. All our projects incorporate a unique artistic image and functional solutions. Client is the soul of the project. Our main goal is to illustrate his/hers values and individuality through design.

Steve Avdakov
Principal and Owner
In addition to being the principal architect, preservationist, and expert heading up Heritage Architectural Associates, Steve is also the Chief Relationship Officer. Steve is your first contact and is always ready to answer questions, offer solutions, and lead your project to successful completion. He is happiest when all three can be discussed sharing a fine meal and learning in-depth about your property, your town, and the challenges you face.
For 18 years, Steve has helped communities thrive. His curiosity, dedication, and passion fuels each and every project, inspiring sometimes unconventional commitment. It is not uncommon to find him helping set up street cones for downtown chamber events or guest starring in your community theater production while in town working on a project.
